Before construction began, those who made this deal happen spoke to a huge crowd of peers and hundreds of Boeing employees.

After weeks of anticipation, the day has finally arrived.
Boeing is expected to break ground at its newest facility in North Charleston on Friday morning.

At least two national groups predict that South Carolina will be one of eight states gaining seats because of growing populations.
